Stanbic Uganda Cup 20201 (Round of 16) – 1st Leg:

Round of 32 (Return Leg): Sunday, 2nd May 2021 – Kigezi Home Boyz Vs Kitara (Kabale Municipal Stadium)
Sports Club Villa, Express and Vipers all picked up victories during the first legs of their respective round of 16 engagements in the Stanbic Uganda Cup on the International Labour Day.
The Jogoos and Vipers won away from home, beating Onduparaka and UPDF 1-0 and 3-1 respectively.
Substitute Faizo Kazibwe was the hero for SC Villa with a late goal at the Aba Bet Green Light Stadium in Arua city.



Vipers required a gallant second half performance to out-muscle UPDF at the Military Stadium in Bombo, thanks to goals from Joseph Bright Vuni (own goal), Ibrahim Orit and Ceaser Manzoki.
Earlier, Brian Kayanja had scored in the 11th minute to give UPDF an early lead in the opening half.


Elsewhere, Express recovered from a goal down to beat visiting URA 2-1 at the Betway Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.
URA’s Ibrahim Juma Dada got the opener inside the opening two minutes.
However, Express recovered to equalize through Martin Kizza in the 17th minute as the opening 45 minutes ended one goal apiece.
Later in the second half, on-form forward Eric Kenzo Kambale got the winner for the Red Eagles in the 65th minute.
On Sunday, 2nd May 2021, there are four matches on the menu, all in the first leg as the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 duels continue.
Stanbic Bank Uganda is the headline sponsor of this annual tournament played since 1971.
Paints company Kansai Plascon are the other partners.
