In the second set of Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 matches played on Thursday afternoon, FFA Big league side Kansai Plascon eliminated Premier League team Mbarara city at Kakyeka Stadium.

Mbarara City who are also struggling in the Azam Uganda Premier league will have to wait for the next campaign after falling to Henry Kitegenyi’s brace to take his tally to 6 goals in the competition.

Mbarara city tried to come back in the second half but things worsened when Jamal Sijali scored his team’s second.

In other games Kitara FC humiliated Seeta United by 4-0 to go through to the quarterfinals with goals from Mupenge Bula, Yasin Mubiru, Alinde Herbert Billy and Komakech Serial.

At St. Marys’ stadium in Kitende, Kira United suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of SC Vipers. Erisa Sekisambu scored the penalty for his team.

Meanwhile at Wankulukuku a first half headed goal from defender Joseph Nsubugu on 39minutes against Ndejje University earned SC Villa a slot in the last eight. Villa won 1-0.

All round of 16 winners will play in the quarterfinals and the date for the draws are yet to be confirmed.
