Kampala Junior Team Vs SC Villa – Villa Park

Kansai Plascon Vs Vipers SC-NARO, Ntawo, Mukono 

Synergy FC Vs Proline FC- St. Charles Lwanga, Kasasa

Kitara FC Vs KCCA FC – Boma Grounds, Hoima 

 Fixtures to be played on 21st, 22nd and 29th April 2018

Rules:

  • If the teams are still tying by goal at the end of the match, extar time of not more than 15 minutes each half shall be played to deterimine the winner. The team with more goals after extra time will be the winner of the match.
  • If the teams are not seperated by Art 23(3) kicks from the penalty mark shall be applied to determine the winner.
  • One leg will be played

Uganda Premier League clubs will all play their games away from home.  This is after the quarterfinal draw of the 2017/18 Stanbic Uganda Cup held on Thursday pitted them away from home.

Current holders KCCA FC, SC Villa, Proline FC and Vipers SC will all be on the road in their quarterfinal games.

KCCA FC will make the trip to Hoima to face FUFA Big League side Kitara FC at Boma Grounds.

Kitara FC eliminated Seeta United with a 4-0 score while KCCA FC on the other hand needed spot kicks to edge past Soana FC after normal time ended in a two all draw at Kavumba Recreation Centre.

Nine time winners Sports Club Villa will visit Kampala Junior Team(KJT) at Villa Park,  a ground they are familiar with. It should be noted that SC Villa use Villa Park as their training ground.

Jackson Mayanja picked Synergy FC from the pot

KJT who play in the 4th division (Kampala District Football League) have been the surprise package this season knocking out two Uganda Premier League teams (URA FC and BUL FC at the round of 64 and 16 respectively).

Sam Kabugo picked Proline FC for the away fixture against Synergy

SC Villa head coach Wasswa Bossa who attended the draw indicated they will not take their opponents lightly because they have knocked out giant teams.

Sc Villa Jogoo Head coach Wasswa Bossa attended the draw. He admitted that KJT is a good side.

‘We respect KJT because they have had a good run in the tournament so far knocking out two Uganda Premier League teams so we shall not take the game lightly’ Bossa said.

Vipers SC, the 2016 winners have been drawn against FUFA Big League team Kansai Plascon who play in Rwenzori group.  Plascon will host the tie in Mukono.

Eddie Butindo, the Vipers SC technical director stated that every game in a knockout tournament is like a final and thus will go out with full commitment.

Angelo Lonyesi the Kansai Plascon coach warned Vipers SC and indicated they are ready to eliminate them.

“We have been struggling in the league currently but that has not stopped us from performing well in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.” He asserted.

Angelo Lonyesi-Coach of Plascon Kansai said his team is ready for the star studded Vipers SC.

The other quarterfinal fixture will see Synergy FC another FUFA Big League side host Proline FC.

The games will be played on 22nd and 29th April 2018 with the final slated for late May in Kumi District.

KCCA FC CEO Josephine Namukisa said that her club will have an eye alos glued on the business sense looking forward to growing the fan base when they travel to play Kitara FC.
