The second round of the 2021 Star Times FUFA Big League has kicked off on Sunday, 16th May with a number of games at the different venues across the country.
Both groups (Elgon and Rwenzori) were involved in action. Tooro United, current leaders of the Rwenzori group played to a non-scoring draw with Water at the Kavumba Recreational Stadium.
Nyamityobora and Ndejje University played to a 2-2 draw at the Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara city.
Proline and Kigezi Home Boyz shared the spoils after 1-all stalemate at the Kabale Municipal Stadium.
Rogers Tabule scored for Kigezi Home Boyz in the 69 minute with Brian Umony replying for Proline in the 81st minute off a well struck penalty.
In Elgon group, Gaddafi overcame the home team Mbale Heroes 2-0 at the Mbale Municipal Stadium.
Paidha Black Angels recorded their first victory of the season, winning 1-0 against Maroons at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo.
Blacks Power and Arua Hill played to a 1-all draw at the Emokori Play ground in Bukedea.
Alfred Leku headed home Baden Mujahid’s cross before Michael Siwu equalized for Blacks Power.
Three clubs shall be promoted to the Star Times Uganda Premier League at the end of the season.
