1.30pm: Sudan vs Djibouti
4pm: Uganda vs Eritrea
The Sudan national U20 football team has today afternoon jetted into the country ahead of the kickoff of the CECAFA U20 challenge championship that kicked off this Saturday at the Pece War Memorial stadium in in Gulu.
The 25 man delegation of 17 players and 8 officials arrived in the country at midday and straight away headed to Gulu district where they will play their group A matches.
Sudan was pitted in group A against Djibouti whom they face in the opening fixture before hosts Uganda start their own title challenge against Eritrea.
Sudan becomes the second team arrived in the country after Djibouti that arrived earlier on Saturday last week to acclimatize to the conditions before the commencement of the tournament.
Burundi and South Sudan teams among others confirmed them arrival for today whereas the Kenyan contingent is expected in the country tomorrow (Thursday).
The two-week-long tournament will have games in two venues with the FUFA Technical centre in Njeru being the second venue that will be hosting group B and C matches.

- A: Uganda (Hosts), Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti (Based in Gulu)
- B: Kenya, Ethiopia, Zanzibar, Tanzania (Based at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru)
- C: Burundi, South Sudan, Somalia (Based at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru)
