Tanzania’s Twiga Stars arrived in Uganda on Wednesday evening ahead of the international friendly game against Crested Cranes.
The two teams who are preparing for their respective Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Qualifiers will face off in a friendly game on Friday at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Uganda will play against Rwanda while Tanzania will take on Congo Brazzaville at the first qualification round.
Tanzania’s contingent arrived at Entebbe Airport today evening with a squad comprised of 20 players and currently residing at Silver Springs Hotel, Bugolobi.
The Crested Cranes on the other hand have been in camp since Thursday last week and have played two practice games against Kampala Select Team.
The game against Tanzania will therefore act as the final precursor before the team travels to Rwanda.
Uganda will host the first leg on 12th July at Kigali Pele Stadium before the two teams face off in a return leg five days later.
