Jackson Mayanja was the best coach during the CAF A coaching course conducted early this year at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
The former Uganda Cranes international, KCC FC legend and currently with Tanzanian side Coastal Union performed extremely well in the course units of theory, football practicals and practical performances.
Mike Mutebi (KCC FC), Moses Basena (URAFC), Majidah Nantanda (Crested Cranes-National Women Seniroteam) are the other coaches whose performance was categorized as excellent by the CAF Instructor Sunday Kayuni.
Nantanda was the only female coach who attended this course and came 4th.
Frank Anyau, Sam Simbwa, Timothy Ayiekoh and George Semwogerere also passed the course and are now CAF A coaching License holders.
Kintu Paddy Isaac and Paul Ssali Mukisa were not categorised but performed well in the Theory unit.,
Vipers FC coach Edward Golola attended but never completed the course.
Uganda now has 14 coaches with CAF A Licenses. These are;
Asuman Lubowa, Tom Lwanga, Nyiima Jackson, Livingstone Kyambadde, Kasule Mujib, Sam Timbe, Mike Mutebi, Moses Basena, Majidah Nantanda, Frank Anyau, Sam Simbwa, Timothy Ayiekoh and George Semwogerere
