Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) and the Uganda Cranes Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sedrojevic have on Thursday released part one of the 9 phase road map of Ugandan football.
The release of the technical plan comes less than 24 than after the FUFA President, Eng. Moses Magogo took through the national teams’ personnel through a one day induction course.
The strategic technical programme has football activities for all competitions in the remaining part of this year on short, medium and long term plans.
Addressing sports journalists at the FUFA main head quarters at Mengo in Kampala, Micho urged for ultimate co-operation from all the stake holders with the goal of seeing Uganda qualify for the upcoming continental championships.
The phase of the plan unveiled on Thursday started with the CHAN 2016/AFCON 2017 Qualifying draws.
The opening phase started April 8th 2014 (Draws of Afcon 2017 qualifiers) and will run until 6th September 2015.
I call upon all Ugandans to come and we work as unit. Qualification and performing excellently is very realistic mission, possible and attainable
Micho said.
Micho hinted on the detailed programme and strategies of tracking the home and foreign based players.
The preparatory programmes such as ‘Cranes Na-Mutima’ shall still be maintained with lots of domestic and international build up matches lined up.
At the same press conference attended by two FUFA Executive Committee members, Chris Kalibala and Darious Mugoye, the media were also urged to be supportive in the best way possible.
Football is for us all. Lets help each other in this cause. As FUFA, we are committed 100% towards doing the necessary work to ensure Uganda prepares adequately and achieve the set target.
Mugoye remarked.
