TECHNICAL: Milutin Sedrojevic on club to club Tour

Ahead of the upcoming All Africa Games and Olympics qualifiers, the Uganda Cranes Head Coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sedrojevic has continued with his tour of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) clubs.

After his recent visits to KCC and URA last week, the coach paid a courtesy visit to the Jinja based sides BUL and Sadolin FC.

This is part of his initiatives to tap more youthful talents who fall in the right age categories for the championships.

“Once summoned, show your ability that you deserve to play on the team” he urged.

Micho first visited BUL FC at their home ground at Kakindu before proceeding to Sadolin F.C in Bugembe.

While addressing players at Kakindu, Micho promised them a chance to play in the national team but that is only after proving their worthiness.

“We will give each player a chance to play for the national team but my caution is play better then you will earn yourself a passport.

You already have the passport but now work hard to get the Visas.Football is not a bush where you will hide. When you show your ability we shall spot you and hook you out from the rest. We have various competitions which are coming up this year so many of you will get chances to play.” He assured players at Kakindu while addressing them.

“Our football brand is only known in CECAFA region but we want to extend this beyond.”

Uganda national team tactician Micho Sredjovic tasked his fellow compatriots to embark on developing players for our national team cause.

The Serbian born tactician, who thinks Uganda coaches are so crucial in his three laid “Development Programs” to see Uganda Cranes excel, said he is optimistic their effort will play a key role in seeing things happen.

In his technical development programs he spoke about FIFA Development activities like football courses, Football Development Competitions like Fifa friendly matches, Olympic qualifiers, All Africa Games, CHAN qualifiers, CECAFA, ‘Cranes Na Mutima’ among other competitions and then talked of monitoring all players in their respective clubs.

“We have already started visiting all 16 Super League clubs to tell players of our objectives but you coaches too will play a key role. We want to use the ‘technical control approach’ to see our players take right directions.” Micho stressed
He also cautioned coaches about the complacency they have in their players

‘Uganda has power in football but power is nothing without control. This is New Year 2015 and we are counting on you coaches to get where we hope too’ He concluded.

In 2015 the football activities on calendar include Olympic Games qualifiers, CHAN qualifiers, CECAFA tournament, All African Games, Schools competitions, AFCON 2017 qualifiers, 2018 FIFA world Cup among other activities.
