Vipers played for 50 minutes a man less against Sc Villa Jogoo but still went on to win the FUFA Super Cup via kicks from the penalty mark at Nakivubo stadium.

The full 90 minutes of the season’s curtain raiser produced no goal but Sc Villa Jogoo missed a penalty late in the first half when Robert Achema blasted the ball wide off the mark on the right hand side of keeper Isma Watenga. Villa’s Umar Kasumba was fouled by Lwaliwa Halid in the penalty area. He was shown marching orders by referee Bakisula Ali for the foul.

Vipers won 5-3 on penalties to win the trophy that was handed to them by FUFA Vice President Darius Mugoye.
Vipers’ penalties were all converted by Man of the Match Deus Bukenya,Miya Faruku, Mpande Joseph, Nkuubi Brian and Wiliam Wadri

Villa’s had successful kicks taken by Misi Katende, Katongole Henry and Kirya Ambrose. Waibi Yeseri missed the opening kick from the penalty mark.
