The FUFA Drum 2022
Round of 16, Return Leg results

Kampala 3-0 Bukedi
Acholi 1-0 Bunyoro
West Nile 1-0 Karamoja
Buganda 2-1 Kigezi

Buganda earned a berth into the quarterfinals of the FUFA Drum 2022 after overcoming Kigezi on Sunday.

In a close contest played at Nakisunga Playground, Mukono, the home side nicked a hard fought 2-1 win.

It should be noted that the first leg played two weeks ago at Kabale Municipal Stadium had ended goalless.

Therefore, Buganda seized home advantage to overpower Kigezi thanks to goals from Viane Ssekajugo and Joshua Lubwama

Dickson Nuwamanya got the consolation for visiting Kigezi.

Ssekajugo fired Buganda into an early lead, scoring in the 12th minute.

However, Nuwamanya found the equalizer in the 26th minute as the first half ended one-all.

Fresh from guiding Sand Cranes to Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations, Joshua Lubwama found the winning goal at the hour mark.

Buganda therefore joins Acholi, West Nile and Kampala as the four teams that have progressed to the quarterfinals.

It should be noted that the quarterfinals will also be played on a home and away basis.
