Mawejje – We shall play our hearts out for Uganda

Tony Mawejje has said the the team must give their best against Guinea in a 2015 Afcon qualifier on Wednesday.

The midfielder told in an interview in Casablanca on Tuesday that this is the time they must play their hearts out because they must qualify.

The Cranes are second on seven points, while Ghana lead Group E with eight points. Guinea have the same number of points, but with an inferior goal difference and head to head matching against the Cranes.

“I have the feeling that this is our time to qualify,” added the Iceland based professional who scored the goal in the Cranes 1-1 draw away to Ghana in the opening game of the Group in Kumasi.

Uganda is the only nation in the Council for East and central African Football Associations (CECAFA) region with a chance to make it to next year’s event to take place in Equatorial Guinea.
