The triumphant Uganda Under 17 national team, The Cubs have today returned home.

The delegation which traveled by road reached the FUFA main headquarters at Mengo at 2: 15 pm.
Led by head of delegation, Richard Ochom, the FUFA executive committee member, the team that eliminated Rwanda 7 – 2 on aggregate was received by FUFA Vice President, Darius Mugoye.
An excited Uganda U-17 Head Coach Matia Lule is welcomed back home by Juma, Mugoye and Idris Kasalirwe.
Other FUFA officials present were the newly appointed FUFA Chairman Technical, Hamid Juma, Decolas Kizza ( Finance Director), the FUFA Spokesperson, Ahmed Hussein.
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations officials address the U-17 team players and officials upon arrival.
“We are so glad for the players , technical team, media and the fans” remarked Richard Ochom.
Mugoye too acknowledged the team’s effort that saw them beat Rwanda 3 – 2 in Gisenyi at Umuganda Stadium on Friday to advance 7 – 2 on aggregate for the final two qualification matches whose winner will make it the continental youth show piece next year.
“We are building towards qualifying for the CAF U-17 finals in Niger come 2015. Be disciplined, stay focused and we shall all make it”, he urged.
Cubs Players Diego Katumba, Andrew Isiagi (team captain) and Ezra Bidda greet the officials upon arrival.
The players were released to their respective families and will be summoned later (date to be communicated) in preparation for the next qualification game against Zambia (who beat Botswana 6 – 0 on aggregate).

Meanwhile, the senior team-Uganda Cranes, after winning 1 -0 over Mauritania to advance 3 – 0 on aggregate will arrive back in the country on Tuesday at 2:30 pm aboard Kenyan Airways.
