UEFA Elite Goalkeeping Course Kicks Off in Njeru

The three-day UEFA goalkeeping coaching course started on Monday 10th July 2023 at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

A total of thirty three (33) goalkeeping coaches, including two women are taking part in the high profile course which will run until Wednesday 12th July.

During their stay in Njeru, the coaches will undergo theory and practical sessions, and they will learn alot from topics such as; goalkeeper in modern football, role of the goalkeeper coach in modern football, defensive actions of the goalkeeper, offensive actions of the goalkeeper, physical preparations of the goalkeeper, training preparations and training based on the game situation.

UEFA goalkeeping instructor – Miroslav Hyll from Slovakia has been trusted to facilitate the training.

Samuel Mpiima – the director of governance and administration at FUFA graced the opening function of the course on Monday.
