Uganda has moved up by five positions to attain its joint best position (63rd) in the latest FIFA Coca Cola World rankings for the month of December.
Uganda’s best ever position was 63rd in 2010.
The improvement is due to the double header superb performance against Togo on October 12th and 15th in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifiers in Lome and Kampala.
Uganda beat Togo 1-0 away and 3-0 at Mandela National stadium to advance to the group stages 4-0 on aggregate.
The latest rankings put Uganda in 13th position on the African continent and the in the CECAFA region followed by Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi.
