FIFA WORLD CUP Russia 2018 (Qualifiers) – Group E:
UGANDA CRANES 1-0 EGYPT PHARAOHS
Uganda Cranes is now top of group E after overcoming 7 time African champions Egypt in the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 qualifiers at Mandela National stadium, Namboole on Thursday.
Striker Emmanuel Okwi scored the lone goal of the day in the 51st minute.

The 2016 CAF team of the year, captained by the reigning continent’s footballer of the year (based in Africa) is the team, Dennis Onyango played gallantly for the famous win.
William Luwagga Kizito, Geofrey Sserunkuma and Isaac Muleme later on replaced the trio of Faruku Miya, Okwi and Ochaya respectively.

Onyango was the only player booked in the game attended by a good crowd.
Uganda Cranes depart for Egypt on the 2nd September 2017 for the return leg.
The return leg will be played on Tuesday, 5th September 2017 at the Arab El Borg stadium in Alexanderia city.

Uganda Cranes is now top of group E with 7 points. Egypt remains on 6.
Ghana and Congo are on 1 and zero point respectively.
Ghana Black Stars host Congo on Friday.
