The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) regrets to announce the death of Mr. Amir Kalanzi who has been the Cranes Bus driver.
Kalanzi passed on from Mulago Referral Hospital where he had been admitted since Monday. He had earlier been admitted at Malcom International Hospital from where he was referred to Mulago on Monday morning. Before meeting his death, Kalanzi complained of severe abdominal paid.
Kalanzi has been a committed driver and for the entire period he has served FUFA, he never at anytime got close to committing an accident on the road. Our National team players usually enjoyed his comfortable drive on top of the jokes he always shared with them.
We shall all miss his services especially at this time when Cecafa-Tusker Cup is at the door way here in Kampala.
The deceased’s body has already been taken to his parents’ home in Nsangi, Wakiso district. Burial is scheduled for Thursday at Kitagobwa Village in Butambala district at 2pm.
