Captain Massa hails players, technical team, FUFA, Government for away victory

Uganda Cranes team captain, Geofrey Massa has saluted three major parties for Saturday’s memorable 1-0 away victory for his troops against Comoros.

The Bloemfontein Celtics forward in the South African premier league told 102.1 FUFA f.m shortly after the match that the entire crop of players, the technical team and the Federation in general played a great deal in helping the team win away from home.

Massa with a bold assertion noted;

All the players, the technical and support team, FUFA, Government, HE President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni , media and our dear fans played a role in guiding the team to victory. Let us remain focused as we take on the next round of qualifiers.

Midfielder, Tonny Mawejje netted the priceless strike on the day in the 22nd minute of play at the Mitasouli stadium, Moroni city to earn Uganda the top seat of group D on 6 points.

Goal keeper, Denis Onyango saved a penalty with less than 15 minutes to the collapse of the match handled by Seychelles referees.

The other match between Botswana and Burkina Faso was won by the former 1-0.

Uganda Cranes team of players and officials shall return on Tuesday aboard Kenyan Airways at 8.10pm.
