Uganda Cranes concludes final training ahead of Ghana clash, set for spirited home display

Uganda Cranes team successfully concluded their final training session on Friday ahead of the FIFA 2018 World Cup group E clash with Ghana Black Stars.

The one and half hour session was conducted at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole starting at 2:30 p.m.

All the players responded well in the session under the coaches Moses Basena, Mathias Lule and Fred Kajoba (goalkeeping coach).

The brief session majorly centered on efficient use of the ball, solid defending (with or without the ball), creating goal scoring opportunities and finishing.

The head coach Basena promised a good show in the match.

‘We have prepared well for the match and the morale is high ahead of the match. There are no injuries and the players are all set for action’ Basena told the media in a press conference at Namboole stadium.

Defender Savio Kabugo sounded equally braced for the task at hand.

‘We are mentally and physically ready. This is the opportunity we have to prove that we are good enough to make the World Cup grade’ Kabugo who scored against Ghana in 2014 at Namboole noted.

Ghana Black Stars also trained for close to hour at Namboole after the Uganda Cranes session

The match will take place at 4:00 p.m.
