Match Day 1 Games (Saturday, 21st September):
- Sudan Vs Djibouti (Group A) – Gulu – 1:30 PM
- Uganda Vs Eritrea (Group A) – Gulu – 4:00 PM
- Burundi Vs South Sudan (Group C) – Njeru – 4:00 PM
Several Uganda Cranes legends have been given special assignments at the 2019 CECAFA U-20 Championship that kicks off at Pece Stadium in Gulu and FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
These legends are 12 in number and include; Fred Habineza Nkuuda, Samuel Kawalya, Andy Lule, Robert Tumusiime, Ali Kayongo, Fred Tamale, Edward Kalungi, Dan Obote, Lawrence Kizito, Robert Sserungoji and Steven Bengo.
These will serve as team guides for each of the 11 countries in the championship.
Bengo who announced his official retirement from football on Thursday during a special press conference at Tavern Woods has been included among the technical team for the tournament.
