Uganda Cranes Regional Tours: 18 man talented Squad named to take on Buganda Select

Training Programme for Uganda U23 (Kobs)

  • Sunday 4th November 2018: Regional Tour match at Bukalasa Agricultural Institute ground in Luweero weero-Buganda Select vs Uganda U23
  • Monday 5th November 2018: Uganda U23 (entire Squad of 34 players for double training sessions at Lugogo starting 9am)

Uganda Cranes Head coach has released a squad of 18 players to take on Buganda Select in the Regional Tour match on Sunday 4th November 2018 at Bukalasa Agricultural Institute ground in Luweero. The Squad has players featuring in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

According to the programme, the 18 man Squad will join another set of players to start training on Monday 5th November in preparation for the AFCON U23 Qualifiers.

The Squad for Regional Tour to Luweero on Sunday 4th November 2018:

Tom Ikara (KCCA FC), Saidi Keni (Proline FC), Musitafa Mujuzi (Proline Fc), Hassan Musana (KCCA FC), Mustafa Kizza (KCCA FC), Ronald Kigongo (URA FC), Paul Patrick Mbowa (URA FC), Geofrey Wasswa(Vipers SC), Lawrence Bukenya (KCCA FC), Bashir Asiku (Vipers SC), Abel Michael Eturude (Onduparaka FC), Shafik Kuchi Kagimu (URA FC), Allan Okello (KCCA FC), Obuya Pius (Maroons FC), David Owori (S C Villa), Joel Madondo ( K-Jinja SS), Steven Desi Mukwala (Vipers SC),  Vicent Zziwa (K-Jinja SS)

U-23 Squad players for double training sessions on Monday 5th November 2018 at Lugogo: This group will be joined by the 18 players.

Meanwhile Kirinya Jinja SS head coach Charles Ayiekoh has been added on  the Uganda U-23 technical side to volunteer in a period that will see Uganda Cranes coach with a busy schedule ahead of two matches against Cape Verde and Nigeria.

‘FUFA confirms Ayiekoh’s appointment on the technical team of the Uganda U-23 side to support Wasswa Bossa. Sadiq Wassa is the goalkeeping coach while Yahaya Katumba is the Medical Officer. Ayub Balyejusa is the team Coordinator’ confimred FUFA Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein
