Uganda National ‘A’ team, The Uganda Cranes has safely landed at Entebbe International Airport this Thursday morning on their way back from Kigali where they forced a draw against hosts Amavubi in an international friendly match, Wednesday afternoon.
The team touched Entebbe airport at 8:33am aboard Rwanda Air with all officials and players in good health. Speaking from Lapalisse Hotel earlier before setting off from Kigali, the leader of delegation Sam Lwere said the players’ performance was ‘so impressive’.
He commended the Head Coach Bobby Williamson for giving most of the travelling players a chance to test the opponents. The Scot tactician utilized 17 out of the 18 players that travelled with the team. There were six substitutes made.
The match ended 2-2 with Said Kyeyune and Dan Sserunkuuma netting for Uganda.
