CHAN 2018 Qualifiers (Return Leg, 2nd Round):
Rwanda Amavubi Stars 2-0 Uganda Cranes (Uganda qualifies for 2018 CHAN tournament after 3-2 win on aggregate)
It was all excitement in the Rwandese capital of Kigali on Saturday as Uganda Cranes qualified for the 2018 Total CHAN Championship tournament.
Although the Uganda Cranes lost 2-0 on the day, they qualified 3-2 on aggregate having won 3-0 in the first leg.
Yannick Munkunzi and Thierry Manzi scored in the first half of the return leg to create a tense finish to the game.
This will be Uganda Cranes’ 4th time to play at the biennial tournament.
Uganda played in Sudan (2011), South Africa (2014) and lately Rwanda (in 2016).
Hundreds of Ugandans attended the match played at Stade De Kigali in Nyamirambo.
