Uganda Cranes team conducts first training in Tunisia

Having arrived safely in Tunisia, the Uganda Cranes team has conducted some light training at El Menzah Stadium on Sunday evening.
During the training session, the team players focused mostly on muscle fixation, ball work and creating scoring opportunities.
Positively, the players response was a top notch as all of them enjoyed the session which they completed with success.

Briefing players before training, head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovich tasked them to focus on the forth coming friendly game on Wednesday.

‘I want to thank you all for the commitment and dedication you have exhibited in training for the last two weeks at home but remember that is work half done.
Today our journey to Africa Cup of Nations final has started.
Training hard and being fit are some of those aspects we need if we are to perform well in AFCON but mental strength as well as team work will be paramount in our cause and approach’ Micho stated.
Uganda will play three friendly matches against Tunisia, Slovakia and Ivory coast before going for the continental premier show piece that commences on 14th this month in Gabon.

Uganda will lock horns with some of the African giants in Group D which comprises of Ghana, Mali and Egypt
The team will continue with the training on Monday at 3:30 PM Tunisian time (5:30PM EST) at the same venue.
