Uganda Cranes team returns home, set for future engagements

The Uganda Cranes team successfully returned home early Sunday hours from West Africa where they took part in two international matches.

First, was that international build up match against Togo in Lome on Tuesday (Togo won 1-0) and the second was the opening game of the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifier (Group E) with Ghana Black Stars (ended 0-0 in Tamale).

It was an all smiles moment as the Uganda Cranes returned home from Ghana early Sunday morning

The team was received by the FUFA Finance Director Decolas Kiiza and the FUFA Communications manager Ahmed Hussein.

Majority of the professionals (apart from the South African crew) connected directly to their respective countries of duty to join their clubs.

Focus now turns to the next Group E match against Congo Brazzaville at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala on 12th November 2016.

FUFA remains greatly in-debited to the Government of Uganda and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the timely financial assistance that enabled the team prepare for the two games in West Africa.

The players, members of the technical team, FUFA Executive Committee members and staff, fans and the media also stand out for the respective efforts and good will extended to the Uganda Cranes.
