Uganda Cranes trains at the match day venue ahead of crucial fixture with Ghana

2018 FIFA WORLD CUP  RUSSIA QUALIFIERS (Group E):

Friday, 7th October 2016: Ghana Black Stars Vs Uganda Cranes

At Tamale Stadium

Time: 6.30pm (EAST)

After a successful journey from Togo (Lome City) via Accra, the Uganda Cranes landed successfully at the Tamale Airport on Friday afternoon.

Accompanied by the FUFA President, Eng. Moses Magogo who joined the team in Accra, the players held the last training session at the exact match day venue (Tamale stadium) and all the players responded well to the drills.

FUFA greatly appreciates the President of the Republic of Uganda Uganda, H.E. General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the timely financial support of UGX 660M that helped the team’s preparations for the game against Ghana.

After the international friendly match on Tuesday (Togo won 1-0), Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic picked a lot of positives on that day.

The best news is that all the players are match fit including goalkeeper Dennis Onyango who was rested against Togo.

Uganda Cranes is set to face Ghana Black Stars on Friday at the Tamale Stadium in the opening match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifiers (Group E).

Egypt and Congo Brazzaville, the two other countries in the same group play on Sunday.
