Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) and Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) football clubs are having a slight advantage over their opponents following the victories in 2014 Uganda Cup semi finals.

KCCA beat the defending Champions Sports Club Victoria University 2 -1 at Lugogo while URA made easy work of FUFA Big league,  Jinja Municipal Council  4 – 0 at the Mehta Stadium in Lugazi.

At the KCCA Stadium in Lugogo, KCCA f.c came from a goal down to win the game with the return leg coming just after one day at Namboole Stadium.

Dennis Iguma had put the visitors ahead in the 21st minute of the game with a scorcher before KCCA f.c made amends matters through a William Wadri quick turn and shoot effort that followed a goal melee after second half substitute, Brian Majwega’s in swinging corner.

Teenager, Derrick Nsibambi capped the icing on KCCA f.c’s already baked cake with less than 20 minutes  to the full time whistle.

At Mehta stadium, Lugazi, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) beat FUFA big league, Jinja Municipal Council 4 -0 to have a four goal cushion ahead of Sunday’s return leg at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja district.

Moses Ali Feni scored a brace before Saidi Kyeyune and Robert Ssentongo notched the other goals for the tax collectors.

The return legs will be played on Sunday, 11th May 2014 with the final’s date yet to be confirmed.

The final match of the 2014 Uganda Cup will be played at the Mbale Municipal Stadium.

The winner of the Uganda Cup represents the country at the CAF Confederations cup next season.
