Soana F.C Vs BUL F.C – Kavumba Recreational Stadium (4:00 P.M)
Maroons F.C Vs Bright Stars F.C – Luzira Stadium (4:00 P.M)
The Uganda Cup returns to action on Tuesday, 8th March 2016 with two games scheduled on the day.
Soana football club will be home to BUL F.C at the Kavumba Recreational stadium.
Goalkeeper, Godfrey Wakabu is set to return to the Soana goal posts after Muhammed Didi’s run for sometime now.
Simon Okwi’s rich vein of form will be put under close scrutiny when he faces his former pay masters who released him in the mid-season to the Kavumba side.
BUL F.C is still riding high after completing a double over KCCA F.C with David Kizza looked at the primary source of inspiration in the fixture.
In the second match of the day, Maroons host Bright Stars, for the second time in less than 2 weeks since Bright Stars won 1-0 in the league.
The fixture arrives in the wake of two different side’s contrasting form.
Whereas Bright Stars has drawn once and won three out of their four games, Maroons are on the losing streak.
Being a knock-out game, it remains to be seen which side qualifies to make the quarters.
Bright Stars will build on the solid defence line marshaled by Mathias Kigonya in goal, skipper Bernard Muwanga in the central defence and Jimmy Kibirige Lule’s mean play in the middle of the pack.
The quest to look for the strikes lies on the exciting Baker Lukooya, Emmanuel Jurungo, Lawrence Bajja.
Hope Doves is the only side now assured of a last eight berth as the rest of the teams are yet to play.
SC Villa is the defending champion of the Uganda Cup.
