The Uganda cup round of 64 resumes today afternoon with seven top flight teams playing in the FUFA Super League (FSL) facing unpredictable lower division teams. So far, no top flight team has been shown the exit since this stage kicked off on Friday at the hands of the teams plying their trade in the lower tiers. Soana FC who are enjoying a memorable debut season in the FSL will play Seeta United in Seeta.
Entebbe FC who are struggling in the league but managed to pick up a 1-1 with BUL FC last Friday in the league are facing tricky opposition St Mary’s in Nabweru. The ground in Nabweru is synonymous with producing talented players including Frank Kalanda who netted a brace when Uganda Cranes beat Tanzania at Namboole to qualify for the CHAN Finals. Entebbe will have to contend with life during the game as the students of St Mary’s and the surrounding community will create a hostile atmosphere-like they have also done for every visiting team.
In Kazo, high flying Stegota FC who enjoy playing a quick passing game with a lot of energy should will fancy their chances against FSL bottom placed team CRO FC. However the Kampala regional league side should not take things for granted as CRO have just snatched a point off Kiira Young in the league.
