Baza Holdings became the fourth FUFA Big League team to join the round of 16 in the Uganda cup following a 2-1 win on Thursday at Buziga Islamic Sports ground. The tournament is played on a knock out basis. Baza who are enjoying a good run of form have won five consecutive matches (four in the Big League and the other in the Uganda Cup from yesterday’s action when they beat Artland K 2-1. Baza are also joint top with Lweza in the FUFa Big League Rwenzori Group. In Thursday’s Uganda cup action, former KCC goalkeeper Swaibu Kakwaya scored the winner four minutes from full time. Simon Kabanda netted the game’s opener for ArtlandK on 37 minutes butt Baza pile pressure on the home team and their efforts were paid off as defender Francis Xavier Mutebi scored in his own net. Baza have joined three oher Big Leagues-Wandegeya, Jinja Municipal and Lweza in the next round.

Today’s action has two games on card as Defending champions Sports Club Victoria University travel to Luweero to play Ndejje University while KCCA FC hosts Friends of Soccer from Fort Portal at Lugogo.
