Paddy Kwizera will be remembered forever by his club fans for scoring the goal that ejected Soana FC from the Uganda cup today. The Buganda region league side won 1-0 to bundle out Soana-the first FUFA Super League side to be shown the exit at the round of 64.
Two games were not played as Ngora Freda Carr and CRO FC failed to show up. Ngora were due to play Kampala University in Luweero while CRO never made the trip to Kazo in Kawempe to face Stegotta.
The competitions committee will pronounce itself on this matter after receiving the referees’ reports.
In Butambala, Medi Kakeeto scored his first goal for the club as Bright Stars FC edged stubborn Bulo Red Stars FC. Bright Stars FC won 1-0 to set up a clash with Lweza FC in the next round.
Simba FC needed penalties to see off Life Eternal. The army side won 3-2 after normal time ended 0-0.
At the recreation ground, Masaka LC defeated Synergy 1-0 thanks to Ronald Lukungu’s goal.
In Nabweru, Yusuf Kinene and Ndugwa Abraham scored for Entebbe FC who defeated home side st Mary’s 2-1.
Jinja based BUL FC were 1-0 winners over Coup De Grande at Gogonya grounds in Nsambya. Masene Joshua scored the game’s solitary strike.
