Kobs team to regroup
During the weekly FUFA press conference in Mengo today, Kobs head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic revealed that the players who never travelled with the team to Mozambique will regroup this Saturday at the Philip Omondi stadium to start preparations for the return leg fixture.
‘The boys put up a great show and I am happy with their work as they never conceded in Maputo. We created six chances against two but we should have utilized them to get goals’ said Micho in reference to the goalless draw.
The Serbian added ‘we shall create a variety of attacks to get goals for the team’
Micho believes that this team is good enough to join the ranks at the senior level-Uganda Cranes.
‘The National bank data is key for all players summoned to the U-23 as we shall keep all information about them. There are matches that will be played on FIFA and Non-FIFA dates to give the players enough preparation’ further said Micho.
The tactician added that his technical team did enough scouting about their opponents and he ishapy with the build up to this game.
He took time to thank team doctor Yahaya Katumba who played an important role when Kobs player Shafik Bakaki got a serious injury after an opponent’s boot caught his mouth and face.
The coach concluded by calling upon all football fans to turn up at Nakivubo stadium an support the team.
