Uganda misses chance for top leadership of CECAFA

The new leadership of the Council for Eastern and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) for the next four years was decided during elections held on Friday at Inter Continental Addis Hotel, Ethiopia.

The election exercise was part of the CECAFA General Assembly which kicked off activities of the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.

During the elections Sudan FA President Mutasim Jaffar was elected new CECAFA president after polling 6 votes, Uganda’s Lawrence Mulindwa got 3 votes while Rwanda FA boss Vincent Nzamwita, one vote.

FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo and Vice President Darius Mugoye attended the Assembly.
