The Uganda National Beach Soccer team (Sand Cranes) got down to business ahead of the the Beach Soccer AFCON, Senegal 2021.
A team of eighteen players and five officials entered camp on Sunday 9th May at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
The team conducted one evening training session on Sunday with the Head Coach Salim Muwonge and his Technical team emphasizing player fitness and endurance on day one of residential training.
Salim said that the emphasis on the first session was about player fitness and endurance because most players haven’t been active since the league ended.
‘Our emphasis on the first session was player fitness and endurance since many players haven’t been active since the league ended. Therefore we have to bring back their bodies to the required fitness levels before we set off for Senegal.’ noted Muwonge.


He added that he was amazed by the response from the players during the first session and comfortable this if they continue with the same attitude, they will be very ready for the tournament .
Training continues until 18th May 2021 when the team leaves for Senegal.
