CAF ENGAGEMENTS : Ugandan teams ready for away clashes

CAF U -17 Qualifier:
Rwanda Vs Uganda – (In Kigali, Rwanda)
(Uganda carries 4 – 0 advantage)

AFCON 2015 Qualifier:
Mauritania Vs Uganda – (In Mauritania)
Both Games will be played between 2nd-3rd August 2014

Uganda junior and Senior football sides are ready for their respective return legs in 10 day’s time.


Cranes Starting XI against Mauritania in the first leg. Uganda leads 2 – 0.

Both teams carry a home lead prior the return legs which will be played on the same weekend of 2nd – 3rd August 2014.

Uganda Cranes travel to West Africa in Mauritania with the winner expected to face Ghana, Togo and Guinea in group E of the last qualification phase.

Uganda leads 2 – 0 from the Saturday game after second half substitute, Brian Majwega and striker Geofrey Massa’s strikes.

The junior side, The Cubs travel to Kigali with a 4 goal cushion from the first home victory.

Shaban Muhammed got a brace before strikes from right winger, Julius Poloto and left winger Pius Obuya won the game for the home side.

Both teams regroup on Wednesday, 23nd July 2014.

Cranes will be based at Namboole Stadium while the Cubs will be based at Njeru Technical center.
