Uganda U18 Set for Thrilling Showdown Against Kenya in CECAFA Championship Final

The stage is set for an electrifying clash as the Uganda U18 national team gears up to face hosts Kenya in the final of the CECAFA U18 Boys Championship. The highly anticipated match is scheduled to take place at 2:30pm tomorrow Friday 8th December 2023 at the Jomo Kenyatta Mambo Leo Stadium in Kisumu.

Uganda, after a challenging start in the group stages with a conjuring 1-0 loss to Tanzania, showcased their resilience by securing convincing victories against Zanzibar and South Sudan in the group stage thus leading group B with 6 points. Their remarkable journey continued with a hard-fought 1-0 win against Rwanda in the semifinals, earning them a well-deserved spot in the championship finale.

On the opposing side, Kenya has been a dominant force throughout the tournament, displaying exceptional prowess in the group stage with an unbeaten record. Their semifinal clash against Tanzania was a testament to their skill and determination, culminating in a thrilling victory via a penalty shootout.
