Uganda vs Ethiopia (Ethiopia leads 2-3 agg)
Crested Cranes head coach Faridah Bulega has released her team’s starting XI, for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics qualifier return leg against Ethiopia due this evening at Star Times Lugogo, Kampala.
Bulega made four changes from her team that lost 3-2 in the first leg away in Addis Ababa on Wednesday, handing starts to striker Hasifa Nasuna, wingers Resty Nanziri, Fausiah Najjemba and Captain Tracy Jones Akiror.
US based striker Sandra Nabweteme, Lillian Mutuuzo, Phiona Nabbumba and Shamilah Nalujja who started the Addis game, will start on the bench as Burega’s side goes for a do or die game.
Bulega maintained the central defensive pair of Aisha Namukisa and Shadia Nankya with their full backs Viola Namuddu (right) and Grace Aluka (left) while Yudaya Nakayenze will play with Akiror in the central midfield.
The Crested Cranes need only a 1-0 or 2-1 win to advance but a draw of any score will see them eliminated.
The winner from the two legs will advance to meet mighty Cameroon to determine who goes through to the games next year.
