UGANDA VS TANZANIA: Nakivubo Stadium To Host Return Leg

CHAN 2016 QUALIFIERS:

4th July 2015: Uganda Vs Tanzania

Nakivubo Stadium, 4:00 p.m

Uganda Leads 3-0 on aggregate from the first leg

The Championship of African Nations Return leg between Uganda Cranes and Taifa Stars shall be played at Nakivubo Stadium.

We have already notified Confederation of African Football Association and The Tanzania Football Federation

Ahmed Hussein the FUFA Spokesman.

The initial venue was Mandela National stadium, Namboole but FUFA has chosen Nakivubo after seeking permission from the Continental soccer body but with the acceptance of the Tanzania Football Federation.

The FUFA International Match Organising Committee headed by Dr.Patrick Bernad Ogwel will release the programme and charges for the match soon.

The change has been confirmed and relevant stakeholders informed. The IMOC will definitely come up with a programme for the match to be hosted at a new venue

Uganda Cranes resume training on Friday (26th June 2015) at Kabira Country Club.

The Cranes carry a three goal lead from the first leg that was played on the artificial turf of the Amman stadium on the 20th June 2015.

The winner on aggregate will play Sudan at the final stage of the qualifiers for a slot to the 2016 CHAN finals in Rwanda.

CHAN is a tournament that is played by only local based players.

It is played every after two years. Uganda has qualified for the past two edition; in Sudan (2012) and South Africa (2014).
