Uganda Cranes Team has officially kicked off training ahead of Total 2019 AFCON qualifier match against Tanzania on 8th September 2018. The morning session was held at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
Head coach Sebastien Desabre, his assistant Matthias Lule, goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba and fitness trainer Gerome D’Antonio were in attendance taking the players through drills.
Seventeen (17) players were in training today. The local based stars kist had; Lukwago Charles (KCCA FC) and Sebwato Nicholas (Onduparaka FC), Awany Timothy (KCCA FC), Mujuzi Musitafa (Proline FC), Isinde Isaac (Kirinya JSS FC), Taddeo Lwanga (Vipers SC), Waiswa Moses (Vipers SC), Ibrahim Sadam Juma (KCCA FC) Kizza Martin (SC Villa), Kyambadde Allan (KCCA FC) and Patrick Kaddu (KCCA FC).
The foreign-based players had Murushid Juuko (Simba FC), Nicholas Wadada (Azam FC), Joseph Ochaya (Lusaka Dynamos), Yassar Mugerwa (Fasil Kenema), Aucho Khalid (unattached) and Emmanuel Okwi (Simba FC).
‘We have started our preparation for our next game against Tanzania. All my teammates are responding well and I believe we shall put up a good performance.

The head coach Desabre confirmed that getting three points from Tanzania is what he is planning for and trying to work on the intensity of his players during training.

Training will resume on Sunday at the StarTimes Stadium Lugogo at 10 am.
Uganda Cranes is leading 2019 AFCON qualifier Group L with 3 points from the only game played so far in the campaign away in Carpe Verde.
