Uganda Cranes has met the Togo Sparrow Hawks 4 times in history. The visitors have won 2 (3 – 0 identical victories over the Cranes in 2000 and 2001).
The rest are 1 all draws that date as far back as 1965, one in the African games and the other during an international friendy game.
Cranes Head Coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sedrojevic and the technical team have prepared the players well ready for the group E fixture that Uganda leads.

Micho has a wide pool of players at his disposal who have all been of form right from the Nile Special Cranes Na – Mutima Northern region tour, to the domestic league and those playing in the respective professional leagues in Africa and elsewhere.
University of Pretoria striker, Geofrey Massa is one of the most on form players for the Cranes.
The Uganda Cranes team leads Group E with four points with a better goal difference than Ghana who have equal number of points.
The Sparrow Hawks, who arrived on Friday afternoon, have lost two games in the campaign and remain bottom of Group E.
Togo players (apart from Emmanuel Adebayor) travelled in a special jet to Entebbe International Airport.
They lost 2-1 in their first game away to Guinea and fell 3-2 to Ghana in Lome. A loss to Uganda cranes in Namboole could be a setback in their attempt to qualify for the 2015 Afcon in Morocco.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) President, Eng Moses Magogo assured the public of maximum safety during a special press briefing together with Assistant Inspector General of Police and Director of Operations Andrew Felix Kaweesi held at Namboole National Stadium on Friday evening.
FUFA is proudy supported by sponsors; Airtel Uganda, National Insurance Corporation (NIC) and Nile Breweries Limited.
Others are Namboole Stadium management, The government of Uganda, Uganda Police, the match event management partners (KT Promotions and Balaam Management).
Togo team trained at Namboole Stadium on Friday evening as mandated by the FIFA match rules and regulations.
Gates will open as early as 10 a.m to allow the fans have easy access to the stadium.
