Ugandan players Abroad: Bwomono marks 100th appearance at Southend, Onen, Mpande score again as Waiswa provides assist

It was yet again another exciting weekend full of action for a number of Ugandan players in the diaspora as some didn’t only find the back on the net but also managed to keep clean sheets as well as providing assists.

Roared creative midfielder Moses Waiswa after providing an assist as his Supersport United side drew 1-1 against Bloemfontein Celtic in the MTN 8 cup semi final first leg. He came on in the 46th minute.

In the English League two, right back Elvis Bwomono marked his 100th appearance for Southend United as they lost 2-0 against Port Vale. He featured for 90 minutes.

In the English Premier League 2, Jayden Roy Onen was once again on the mark as his Reading U23 side beat Newcastle United U23 side 3-2.

In Vietnam, inform forward Joseph Mpande once again struck as his Haiphong FC side lost 4-2 against QNK Quang Nam.

In Estonia Meistrilliga, Edrisa Lubega was also on the mark as his Paide Linameskond beat Kuressare 6-2. He featured for 73 minutes before coming off.

In Israel Ligat Ha’al, defender Timothy Awany featured for 90 minutes while Fahad Bayo featured for 59 minutes as their Ashdod FC lost 1-0 to Bnei Yehuda.

Meanwhile William Luwagga Kizito featured for 81 minutes as his Hapoel Kfar Saba side lost 3-0 against Netanya.

In Sweden, Isak Ssewankambo and Ronald Mukiibi featured for 90 minutes as their Ostertunds FK side lost 3-0 to Mjallby in Allsvenskun.

Elsewhere, Kenneth Mukisa featured for 90 minutes as his Team TG FF lost 4-0 to Karlstad in the  Swedish Norra league.

In the Swedish Allsvenskun Women, Viola Nambi was introduced in the 59th minute as her Vaxjo DFF W lost 3-0 to Goteborg.

In the Swedish Elitettan, Ritah Kivumbi came on in the second half as her Mallbackens IF Women beat Krarnsvendens IK 2-1. 

In Turkey, Miya Farouk featured for 90 minutes as his Konyaspor FC side lost 2-1 to Basaksehir.

In English Championship, forward Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru replaced Akinfenwa in the 72nd minute as his Wycombe wanderers side picked up their first season victory with a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

In Zambia, custodian Mathias Kigonya kept a clean sheet as his Forest Rangers FC side beat defending Champions Nkana FC. On the other hand defender Shafiq Bakaki didn’t feature for Nkana.

In the MLS, Micheal Azira was an unused substitute as his Chicago Fire side drew 1-1 with Nashville SC.

In Egypt, Derrick Nsibambi was an unused substitute as his Smouha SC beat Masr 2-0.

Allan Kyambadde wasn’t in the match day squad as his El Gouna FC side lost 2-1 against Haras El Hodood.

Elsewhere in the Tanzanian Vodacom Premier League, Nicholas Wadada played full time as his Azam FC side drew 1-1 against JKT Tanzania.

Midfielder Boban Zirintusa wasn’t in the match day squad as his Mtibwa Sugar FC side lost 2-1 against Kagera Sugars.

In the Burundi Primus League , midfielder Brian Allan Kizza and defender Steven Mugisha featured as their Lemessager Ngozi drew 1-1 with Kayanza.

In the Danish Premier League, Moses Opondo wasn’t in the match day squad as his Odense FC side beat Horsens 1-0.

Midfielder Robert Kakeeto didn’t feature as his Aalborg FC side beat  Brondby 2-1 in the Danish Premier League.

In the Scottish Premier League, lanky defender Bevis Mugabi missed out due to shoulder injury as his Motherwell FC beat Livingstone FC 2-0.
