Ugandan players Abroad: Goal & assist for Uche Mubiru, Kizza nets again in USA as Lwasa inspires Kariobangi Sharks to victory in Kenya

It was another mesmerizing weekend for a number of Ugandan players in the diaspora at their respective clubs but do you know how they fared?

England:

Physical forward Uche Mubiru Ikpeauzi netted in the 38th minute and also made an assist for Crooks in the 70th minute as his Middlesborough side beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 at home in the English Championship.

Jordan Obita was not in the match day squad as his Reading FC beat Preston 2-1 at home in the English Championship.

USA:

Promising forward Edward Kizza was yet again on the mark in the 87th minute as his New England lol drew 2-2 at Richmond Kickers in the USL League One. He played full time.

Micheal Azira was introduced in the 89th minute for Tetteh as his New Mexico drew 1-1 at home against ten-man El Paso in the USL Championship.

Mustafa Kizza came on in the 85th minute for Struna as his Club De Foot Montreal downed New York Red Bull 2-1 at home. Kenya skipper Victor Wanyama netted the hosts’ winner from the spot.

New York Red Bull is assisted coaching wise by former Uganda Cranes skipper Ibrahim Sekajja who also gave Kizza his jersey after the game.

Kenya:

Former URA FC winger Peter Lwasa was yet again on the score sheet in the 88th minute as his Kariobangi Sharks side beat Nzoia Sugar 3-1 at home.

Rogers Aloro played full time and was influential as his Tusker FC side defeated Kakamega Home Boys 2-0.

Germany Bundesliga:

Right back Herbert Bochorn was an unused substitute as his ten-man Bochum FC lost 1-0 at Wolfsburg.

South Africa:

Former Uganda Cranes skipper Denis Onyango was not in the match day squad as his Mamelodi Sundowns side beat Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 on penalties following a 2 all draw after extra time In the MTN 8 CUP.

Moses Waiswa was an unused substitute as his Super Sport United side Lost 4-3 in penalties at Golden Arrows after a one all draw in normal time in the MTN 8 cup.

Sweden:

Ritah Kivumbi was an unused substitute as her Mallbackens Women side beat Alingsas FC women 2-0 on the road In the Swedish Ellitettan.

Ronald Ddungu Mukiibi was not in the match day squad while Isak Ssewankambo started and saw yellow in the 65th minute and also got off on the 80th minute for Colkett as their Ostersunds FK side Lost 2-1 at home to Norrkoping In the Swedish Allsvenskun.

Forward Alexi Bbakka started, got booked in the 43rd minute and later went off in the 77th minute for Bergstrom as his Umea FC drew 1-1 at home to Dalkurd in the 3rd division.

Egypt:

Derrick Nsibambi started and paved way for Reda in the 24th minute as his Smouha SC side beat El Gaish 4-2 in the premier league.

Czech Republic:

Isaac Muleme played full time as his Zizkov side beat Sparta Prague B 3-0 on the road in the 2nd division.

Denmark.

Moses Opondo came on in the 76th minute for Sabbi as his Odense side drew 1-1 at home against Silkenborg.

Burundi.

Defender Joseph Othieno played full time as his Musongati side drew goalless at home against Vital’O in the premier league.

Portugal.
