Ugandan Players Abroad: Nabweteme, Edward Kizza, Aloro, Kasumba on target as Muleme’s Zizkov picks vital win

It was an exciting weekend for a number of Ugandan players in the diaspora at their respective clubs that saw three of them find the back of the net.

Iceland:

Sandra Nabweteme came off the bench in the 46th minute and scored on the hour mark as FH Hafnarfjardar women beat KR Reykjavik in the Iceland second tier league.

United States of America (USA):
Promising forward Edward Kizza netted a double as his New England ll beat North Carolina 3-0 in the USL League one.


Left back Mustafa Kizza came on in the 75th minute for Bassong as his Club De Foot Montreal lost 2-1 at DC United in the Major League Soccer (MLS).


Kenya:


Forward Umar Kasumba striked in the 82nd minute as his Bandari FC beat Kakamega Homeboys 2-1 on the road.

William Wadri also featured for the visitors.
Rogers Aloro was also on the scoresheet in the 39th minute as his Tusker FC beat Sofapaka 2-1 on the road.


Defender Martin Mpuuga put up a great show as his Western Stima side drew goalless at Posta Rangers. Midfielder Doka Isaac was on the bench for the visitors.

Left back Fred Nkata was in as his Gor Mahia FC drew goalless at KCB.


Custodian Benjamin Ochan played full time as his AFC Leopards beat Vihinga 3-1 at home.

Czech Republic:


Isaac Muleme played full time and also saw yellow in the 76th minute as his Zizkov side beat Pribram 2-0 at home in the second tier league.

Scotland:

Bevis Mugabi played full time as his Motherwell FC drew goalless at St. Johnstone.

Portugal:


Forward Edrisa Lubega marked his league debut as his Estrela side lost 2-0 at home to Mafra in the Segunda.

He came on in the 63rd minute for Fernandes.

Turkey:


Farouk Miya was not in the match day squad as his Konyaspor FC side beat Alanyaspor 3-1 on the road in a friendly match.


England:


Forward Ikpeauzi Mubiru started before coming off in the 56th minute for Tavernier as his Middlesbrough side drew 1-1 at Fulham in the Championship.


Jordan Obita was not included in the match day squad as his Reading FC side lost 3-2 at Stoke City in the Championship.


Sweden:


Ronald Mukiibi and Isak Sewankambo weren’t in the match day squad as their Ostersunds FK side succumbed to a 5-0 defeat at Hacken in the Allsvenskun.


Ritah Kivumbi started before coming off in the 76th minute for Micheal as her Mallbackens Women side drew 1-1 at home against Lidkopings in the Elittetan Women league.

Robert Kakeeto wasn’t in the match day squad as his Aalborg FC side beat Aarhus 2-0 in the Superliga.


Egypt:


Allan Kyambadde wasn’t in the match day squad due to injury as his El Gouna side drew 1-1 at home against National Egypt Bank.


Abdu Lumala was absent with no license this season as his Pyramids FC drew 1-1 at El Gaish.
