Ugandan players in diaspora: Mugabi nets in Motherwell emphatic victory, Oloya guides Hanoi to Vietnam cup trophy

Another very interesting and entertaining weekend it was for a number of Ugandan players in the diaspora as a number of football leagues resumed but do you know how they performed?

In Scotland, defender Bevis Mugabi scored in the 22nd minute from a header as well as assisting as his Motherwell FC defeated Aberdeen 0-3 on the road.

In Vietnam, Moses Oloya played full time in the offensive midfield role as his Hanoi FC beat The Cong 2-1 to lift the Vietnam cup.

In Egypt, Khalid Aucho put up a decent full time display in the middle of the pack as his Misr Le Makasa side drew 0-0 at giants Al Ahly.

Allan Kyambadde started at right-back before being substituted in the 59th minute for Roshdy as his El Gouna FC side lost 2-1 at El Entang El- Harby.

Meanwhile Emmanuel Okwi wasn’t in as his Al Ittihad side drew 1-1 at Arab Contactors.

In the Swedish Allsvenskun, Isak Sewankambo player full time in holding midfield while Ronald Mukiibi came on in the 83rd minute as their Ostersunds FK side drew 1-1 against Djurgarden.

In the Swedish Elitettan Women, Ritah Kivumbi was introduced in the 68th minute for Jerzak as her Mallbackens W lost 2-1 at Hammarby W.

Elsewhere, Miya Farouk started and went off in the 63rd minute for Eduok as his Konyaspor FC side picked up an away point in a barren stalemate at Genclerbirligi.

In the Danish Super Liga, Moses Opondo started before paving way for Thrandarson in the 77th minute as his Odense FC side drew 1-1 against Nordsjaelland.

In the Czech Republic second tier league, Isaac Muleme started at left back before paving way for Tusjak in the 66th minute as his Zizkov side lost 0-2 at home to Hrade Kralove.

In the English Championship, forward Karl Ikpeauzu came on in the 63rd minute for Bloomfield as his Wycombe Wanderers side succumbed to a 5-0 loss at Blackburn Rovers.

Right back Elvis Bwomono played full time as his Southend United side lost 2-0 against Carlisle in the English league 2.

In the MLS, Mike Azira was introduced in the 85th minute as his Chicago fire side lost 4-1 against Orlando City.

Joseph Ochaya was in action as his TP Mazembe side beat Don Bosco 3-1 in a friendly match.

In the Germany second tier, right back Herbert Bochorn wasn’t in the match day squad as his Hannover 96 side beat Karsrusher 2-0 at home.

Elsewhere in the Portuguese segunda, left back Alex Kakuba played full time and saw yellow as his Cova Piedade side beat Covilha 1-3 on the road.

In Sudan, custodian Salim Jamal was absent as his Al Hilal Omdurman side beat Al Wadi 0-1 away from home.

In the Tanzanian Vodacom Premier League, right back Nicholas Wadada played full time as his Azam FC pipped Mbeya 0-1 on the road.

Midfielder Boban Zirintusa was key as his Mtibwa Sugars side beat Ihefu 0-1 away from home.

Custodian Cleo Setuba and Joseph Zziwa weren’t present as their Biashara United side lost 4-0 against giants Simba SC.

In the Burundi Primus League, defender Joseph Othieno featured as his Musongati side beat sleeping giants Vital’O 2-1 at home.

Allan Brian Kizza and Steven Mugisha featured as their Le Messenger Ngozi side lost 0-2 at home to Olympic Stars.

Derrick Nsibambi and Smouha will host El Masary.
