The FUFA Executive Committee has approved a proposal to revive the FUFA Super Cup between the League Champion and the Uganda Cup winner of the previous season. In view of the fact that the FUFA Super League kicks off on Tuesday 25th September 2012, the super cup shall be played on Friday 21s September 2012.
The match shall be played under the FIFA Laws of the Game and the following provisions:
- The match shall be organized by the FUFA Competitions Committee
- The winner shall walk home with a trophy, 25 Gold Medals and a cash prize UGX 1,500,000
- The runners-up shall receive UGX 500,000
- Each team shall be free to use up to seven (7) substitutes
- Cautions and send-offs earned in this much shall not count in the FSL
- Gate charges is UGX 2,000= per spectator
FUFA, through the Competitions committee has written to the two clubs for confirmation not later than 5:00pm on Tuesday, 18th September 2012.
