Prince Kassim Nakibinge has appreciated the tremendous efforts of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) towards the development of football in the country.

The Prince was officiating at the opening ceremony of the Uganda Muslim Education Association (UMEA) games at Kasawo secondary school in Mukono on Good Friday.

I thank FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo for the efforts of developing football in Uganda. Supporting grass root football is a big bold step towards preparing for the future

He said.

FUFA joined the other partners and sponsors of the games that bring together the Muslim founded institutions in Uganda.

FUFA donated 20 quality balls towards the organizers of the annual tournament.

During some of the opening day one football games held, hosts Kasawo and Kibuli secondary school started on a bright note, winning with an identical 5-0 scoreline over Kinawa High School and Mbogo Mixed.

Kibuli scored through Steven Mukwala, Godfrey Bayo (2), Allan Okello and Gaddafi Wahabu.

Host school, Kasawo netted their goals through a Michael Lwanga brace, Sadad Anaku, Fahad Badru and James Kaggwa.
There are 24 schools taking part in these games that include the beautiful game football, netball, handball and volleyball.
The games sponsored by Pepsi, Rwenzori and City Tyres will run until Easter Monday.
