UPDATE: Club Licensing and registration; BUL cleared, Lweza FC in trouble

The FUFA Licensing Committee (FLC) has revealed that only BULFC has fully complied after submitting requirements for club registration and Licensing for the 2015/2016 season.

However Lweza FC could find themselves in trouble after failing to submit any of the required documents for the exercise that started on 24th June,2015 with an initial deadline falling on Friday 31st July,2015 but has now been extended by three days to Monday 3rd August, 2015.

In a communication issued and signed by the FUFA CEO Edgar Watson, clubs have been urged to take the process seriously in preparation for next season.

‘Only BUL FC has fully complied/submitted all the mandatory requirements and paid the fee of 450,000/-within the deadline. The FLC will proceed to inspect the Club accordingly’ said Watson.

The communication further read ‘Bright Stars FC, Maroons FC, Sc Villa, Simba, The Saints and Soana FC have submitted the mandatory requirements/documents with in the deadline, however no payment has been made. If payment is not made by 3rd August, 2015, their documents will not be processed for club licensing’ added Watson.

Jinja Municipal Council, Vipers, Express FC, Sadolin, KCC FC,POlice and SCVU submitted a few of the mandatory documents.

The circular further advises Lweza FC to fully comply by submitting the necessary documents.

‘Lweza FC is warned that non compliance leads to failure for securing a FUFA club license to participate  inthe 2015/2016 season.

FUFA Competitions Director Ali Mwebe confirmed to www.fufa.co.ug that the secretariat will be on duty for the entire weekend to help in the exercise.

‘Our team will be at the FUFA Secretariat this  weekend to help the clubs with registration’ said Mwebe.

The Chairman FUFA Licensing Committee Dr. Bernard Patrick Ogwel waned clubs about the exercise.

‘The exercise i good for the game of football. If a club fails to meet the necessary requirements, the the FLC will make a report to the Executive to take action’ said Dr. Ogwel.

The FLC will start the inspection exercise with BUL FC on Monday 3rd August, 2015.
