UPL RESULTS: Bengo scores to hand Simbwa winning start, Kasumba on fire

Match Day 3 Results:

Kiira Young 1 – 1 Uganda Police

Entebbe f.c 0 – 1 Vipers

Bul f.c 1 – 0 Simba

SC Villa 1 – 0 URA

Sadolin 0 – 1 Express

After a lapse to Police f.c last Tuesday, SC Villa rediscovered their winning touch ,that had seen the 16 time record league winners win the opening 2 games.

Steven Bengo’s 14th minute free kick won the game for the hosts, whose new coach, Sam Ssimbwa was marking his first game for the club.

The victory meant SC Villa now has 9 points from 4 games, a point better than second placed Police who were held to a 1 all draw at Wankulukuku, against Kiira Young.

In the Other results on the day,  Eric Sebuguzi scored the only strike for Express football club, winning1 – 0 away to newly promoted side, Sadolin, the game was held at Bugembe stadium in Jinja

At the Lugogo stadium, Vipers football club recorded their second victory in two games with the goal coming off Kezeron Kizito’s effort.

At the Kakindu stadium in Jinja, Uganda Cranes assistant coach, Kefa Kisala, also coach at Bul f.c had the last smile over the national team’s goal keeping coach, Fred Kajoba, coach at Simba f.c.

Bul f.c overcame Simba by just a single goal – scored by the team skipper, Patrick  ‘Crespo’ Asiku.

With the national team preparing for the AFCON 2015 Qualifier against Togo at Namboole stadium, fixtures for the teams with more than two national team players have been postponed.

However, on Tuesday 7th October 2014, 2 games will on as earlier scheduled; Lweza Vs Entebbe at Wankulukuku, Police Vs Sadolin at Kavumba recreational stadium.

The following day (Wednesday, 8th October 2014),Soana will host Simba as Express f.c entertains the high riding Bright Stars at Wankulukuku stadium.
