Match day 6 of the 2014/15 Uganda Premier League resumed with 4 fixtures held.

URA now climbs the table standings to 8th displacing SCVU, who have dropped to 10th.

4 Goal thriller:

Elsewhere, it was a 4 goal thriller in Buikwe when the Vipers and KCC fixture ended in a draw.

The opening three goals of the highly billed game came in the first 13 minutes.

Enterprizing Uganda Cranes left winger, Brian Majwega shot KCC in the lead as early as the 5th minute but Mike Mutyaba made quick amends 4 minutes later

Another Uganda Cranes forward, Brian Majwega netted second KCC’s goal in the 13th minute for the first half to end 1- 2 in favour of the visitors.

That was not the last goal -laden action as Mike Mutyaba scored his second on the day 20 minutes after restart and both sides opted for solid defensive strategies to atleast pick a point.

Lweza impressive start continues:

UPL debutants, Lweza F.C continued with their fine start of the season; picking the third victory over home side, Soana in their 6 games played.

Left full back, Farouq Musisi Kizito scored Lweza’s only goal on the opening half hour mark to grant coach Viali Bainomugisha’s side and the mammoth cheering fans another worthwhile safe journey back home.

Lweza has now accumulated 9 points to rise to 6th on the 16 team table standings as Soana remains win-less (like Rwenshama) in as many games.

SC Villa held in Jinja:

Hours after benefiting from the UPL secretariat decision, where they were awarded three goals and three points, SC Villa faced the Eastern giants, Bul F.C at Kakindu.

Coach Sam Ssimbwa, handling his third game after replacing Steven Bogere needed to keep the 100 percent record intact but Bul F.C had other thoughts altogether.

The match ended goal-less after 90 minutes to grant the visitors a one point lead (on 13 points), a point better than second placed Police F.C.

The league resumes on Friday.
