Women Football: FUFA President grateful of FIFA support to Ugandan clubs with equipment

The 16 clubs plying their trade in the top flight of the FUFA Women Elite League have landed football equipment from FIFA. This is the second year running for the Ugandan clubs to receive this equipment.

FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo made a statement on the status of women football in Uganda during the weekly press conference on Wednesday morning at FUFA House in Mengo.

‘This support from FIFA is as a result of our efforts when we decided to start the Women football league to give other women play football. This helped us create a wider pool for National team selection in the future’ said FUFA President.

At the start of his speech, Eng. Magogo said ‘ I am motivated that our Ugandan population has 50% as women and I am glad to be playing a part in the development of the women football in the country’ added Magogo.
